Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data JSONPROMPT collects, why, and what rights you have. The data controller is Ankit Sharma, reachable at ankit@spectramynd.com.
1. What we collect
- Account data — email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), display name if you add one.
- Generation history — the scene descriptions you submit, the prompts we generate, the model and settings you chose, and timestamps.
- Images — images you attach in Image → Video mode are sent to the AI model to write your prompt and are not stored; we only keep a note of which slots you used (e.g. "first frame").
- Consent records — when you accepted the terms and whether you opted in to emails.
- Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) kept briefly for security.
We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in.
2. Why we use it (legal bases)
- To provide the Service (performance of a contract) — creating your account, generating prompts, showing your history.
- To email you about your account (contract / legitimate interest) — confirmation links, password resets, important notices.
- To email you about AI filmmaking tutorials and workshops (consent) — only if you opted in. You can opt out any time from your profile or via the link in any such email.
- To keep the Service secure (legitimate interest) — logs and abuse prevention.
3. Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by their own data-processing terms:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (your account, history and consent records).
- Kie.ai — AI gateway through which your scene description and any attached images are sent to a large language model (currently an OpenAI GPT model) to write the prompt.
- Vercel — application hosting and server logs.
Some of these providers operate outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and history data — until you delete your account, or after 24 months of inactivity.
- Consent records — for as long as your account exists, plus 3 years as evidence of consent.
- Server logs — up to 30 days.
- Attached images — not stored; they exist only for the duration of the request.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise any of these, email ankit@spectramynd.com; we respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
6. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
We'll notify you of material changes by email or in the app. The date at the top shows the current version.
